All registered users will have a My Account - whether you have made a purchase or not, a purchase is not necessary as many of the features are free to use.

In order to use many of the new features please create a Profile in My Account to use the following;

Add a Homepage
Send messages
add comments to records
make an Announcement
post a Classified
browse Profiles
save My research records
upload photographs

To use the above Register or login and create your profile in My Account.

Not able to use the menu items - once I have logged in

If you are not able to use various menu items when you select Browse/Search Homepages, Browse/Search Societies, Browse/Search Profiles - once you have logged in and you are returned to My Account then "Please set up a Profile" which will allow you to use these features.

Set up a Profile to add a comment to a record

When you have searched for a birth, marriage or death 1984 - 2005 from the homepage and want to add a comment to a record (or make an announcement), you will be taken to a registration page either login or register.

If you have not yet created a profile you will be directed to the My Account page in order to create your profile.

If you already have a profile simply complete the form and enter your comment on the "add / edit announcement" page and press Save then Login and your comment will be saved.

Steps to add a comment to a record;

Register or login
Go to My Account
Create your Profile
Subscribe or purchase units (not required for some features)
Go to the main Search page
Select the Database you wish to search
Enter details on selected search page
View Search results page and select Add comment
View Image requires the DJVu image viewer

Note: Comments can only be added to transcribed databases
